We needed to get to Amiens (to get to Rouen and then to Angers) from Lille but it was a little bit fuzzy how to actually achieve this
Arrived train station at 8.30 hoping to get the 9.13 but was informed there was a better option (direct) at 11.53
Sat down in the station and waited….
At Amiens we had a 4 hour wait so found a great Creperie also serving Galettes and it had an amazing decor, then waited at the station…it rained all afternoon so lucky we were inside
Train to Rouen went well and had booked Grand Hotel de Seine and although it does sound Grand the hotel is fine…
Amazingly at the Rouen station they had a piano for public use and this guy was playing some amazing stuff!!!
No need to vandalised it…
Went to supermarket and bought stuff for a charc board served stylishly with a white towel covering the bedspread (apologies to Jas)
Tomorrow our train leaves at 1.30pm and we have 2 changes before getting to Angers (wish us luck), where we will spend the night before cycling to the Loire and see our winemaker friend Manu…will be very exciting
Apparently there is a VERY good bakery here in Rouen so that will get a visit in the morning
