What a great day of riding!!!
In the morning we went back to Canterbury cathedral for a visit and it was amazing!
Ended up leaving the hotel just before 1pm and it was already quite warm….wrong time to start. Only mad dogs and English men…(and Australians….hehe)…
Ride to Whitstable was really nice: undulating, varied scenery but above all – no cars….
We then turned right at the sea and rode the next 20 km along the beach! It was incredible!!!!!
Great surface, quite warm little bit of breeze. Perfect!
So many people out and about on the beaches (stones…)
Arrived at our lodging at 5pm and we to the beach. However as the tide was going out there wasn’t much of a beach…had to walk out a 100 metres
So it was really nice to have a normal day of bike touring in the UK! This gives us hope there is more out there…
